Many teams desire one-on-one contact with families in the communities. For some this comes in the way of performing construction on the homes of families that can not otherwise improve their living conditions. Many people here like elsewhere, can not afford to repair their homes and pay their living expenses. Teams make a huge differences in the lives of these families.

There are a wide variety of other ministries available for teams who feel led to serve in Eastern Kentucky. On the HGA campus we have a food ministry, clothing ministry, Church plant, and other programs. Mission teams are a great benefit to these ministries. Mission possibilities are limited only by your imagination of how to reach people who don’t know Jesus as Lord and Savior. Without the help of our mission partners we could not begin to minister to the people of Eastern Kentucky.

Some mission teams help the children and parents by doing VBS programs for the children. In Wolfe county there is about a 90% unchurched population. Many have never heard the Gospel message. VBS programs reach the children but the children then go home and share with their parents too. We arrange VBS programs for several churches in the Red River Baptist Association.
